Welcome!
Age Group: 2 Years Old We help the Chickadees promote their independence by giving them big jobs such as help get the cart for meals and encourage the chickadees to practice their self-help skills as well as helping their friends if they need a friend. As Educators we build relationships with each child by spending time with them. We post documentations on our bulletin board outside our classroom with photos and artifacts. Community and Families As Educators we love having our families and community involvement in our classroom in any way possible. To celebrate we will send projects home to create with our families, we also plan events where families are able to come in and spend some time with us. We love inviting people to share stories and perspectives from our community. Diapering/Toileting In the room there is one bathroom that is shared with the Hummingbirds. It also has one change table and a single child size toilet. We collaborate with families that are potty training at home, we encourage those children to use the toilet. After using the bathroom the Chickadees to wash hands at a child level sink with soap, water and paper towels to dry their hands. This allows children to practice self-help skills and independence while an Educator is there to guide them if needed. Napping The Chickadees nap in the gym with the Budgies. The children get settled in their own bed with their blankets, pillows, and bed buddies; stuffies. Which stays at the centre to be laundered each week. The Chickadee Daily Checklist 1.
