Learning about ourselves is a hands on experience. The Budgies studied themselves in the mirror and then drew pictures of themselves. The attention to detail was exceptional.

The Budgies explored the yard today and gathered up lots of sticks, leaves, and branches. They put them together creating a beautiful piece of transient art. Transient art or loose parts play is the creative experience of placing open-ended resources together. The Budgies explored shapes, patterns, textures, and overlapping.

The Falcons put on a play for their friends and family. It was called Nursery Tale Land. It was about two nursery tale characters that have a crazy adventure on the way to deliver supplies to Little Red's Grandma who is sick at home with Covid. The kids did an amazing job preforming in front of a big crowd and even doing all their own stunts. Next stop Hollywood.

I must Go.... The puddles are calling!!!

The Owls are exploring their self identity and self image. What do I look like? How do I compare to my friends? They are just beginning to see the differences and commonalities between them. This exploration will carry on as they continue to grow.

The Humming birds love to get their hands dirty. This rainbow sensory invitations let them see, smell, taste, feel. They quickly discovered they could make prints in the dough.
Picnic's are not just for summer. We take lots of opportunities to have lunches and snacks in the snow as well as the sun. Spaghetti in the snow is a must try. At least there will be no ants at this picnic.
The children have begun to garden. They will be focusing on growing things that we will eat with our lunches. They are planting small pots that will get started sprouting inside and when the weather permits we will transfer them to our garden outside. It is an excellent way for the children to witness first hand the impact they have on the environment.
The Eagles brought some color to our winter yard. They made colored bricks and used water to adhere them. They built an arc that they used to play in. Doesn't it look good enough to eat?
