Picnic's are not just for summer. We take lots of opportunities to have lunches and snacks in the snow as well as the sun. Spaghetti in the snow is a must try. At least there will be no ants at this picnic.
The children have begun to garden. They will be focusing on growing things that we will eat with our lunches. They are planting small pots that will get started sprouting inside and when the weather permits we will transfer them to our garden outside. It is an excellent way for the children to witness first hand the impact they have on the environment.
Seven Oaks Child Day Care Centre is located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji Cree, Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Mètis Nation.
We respect the Treaties that were made on the territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
