There is a hospital staff parking lot located off Court Ave. Our Centre has 8 day care pick up/drop off spots located near the entrance. Children who require wheelchair accessibility are to park at the front of the hospital and then take the elevator down to the centre's main entrance.

Do I need to be a hospital employee in order to get a spot for my child?
No, we do have a community wait list. Hospital employees do get first priority for spaces.
Can i apply for subsidy?

When will i know if a spot is available for my child on the waiting list?
We notify our families 2-4 weeks before their spot is available.
HOW DO I REMAIN ACTIVE ON YOUR CENTRES WAITING LIST?
We encourage families to call every 6 months to reactivate their spot on the waiting list.
do you have part time spots?
No, we only offer full-time spots.
what ages are in your program?
We provide care for children ages 3 months to 12 years old.
Do you have a school age program?
Our main site offers 10 spaces to children already enrolled in our program. We have an offsite program located in R.F Morrison school. This program serves children who go to school at one of the following schools: - R.F Morrison - H.C Avery - E.S.O.M.S -Ecole Belmont - Margaret Park -Forest Park
if my child takes the school bus, how does that work for child care?
Parents are expected to contact Seven Oaks Transportation to make arrangements to be bussed to/from our program.
DO YOU PROVIDE SPot FOR CHILDREN IN THE SUMMER MONTHS?
No, we do not have any summer spots available.
my child is in kindergarten, are they able to catch the bus?
We have a staff responsible for picking up and taking the children to the bus stop at the Wellness Institute. This staff also picks the children up from the bus and signs them into our program upon arrival. Parents are responsible for making arrangements with Seven Oaks Transportation.
what are your hours of operation?
Monday: 7AM-6PM Tuesday: 7AM-6PM Wednesday: 7AM-6PM Thursday: 7AM-6PM Friday: 7AM-6PM **We close at 4:30 on the second Thursday every month for staff proffesional development (excluding July and August). In September we are closed at 4:30 on the first Wednesday. **We are closed on the first Friday in June and one day in October for professional development. CLOSED ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NO EVENING CARE PROVIDED We are closed all statutory holidays, including Easter Monday.
WHO CAN PICK UP MY CHILD? DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING AT TIME OF PICK UP?
Parents who are on the registration form are automatically able to pick up their children. Family members on the pick up list, require photo ID and a parent on the registration form MUST call the Centre and verify that another person will be picking up their child. Children WILL NOT be released to anyone without following the procedures listed above.
do you provide lunch and snacks?
We provide an AM (8:30/9:00) & PM (2:30) snack. We provide a healthy hot lunch program for $5.00/day. If you are providing lunch for your child, it must be egg, nut & fish free. We ask that families do not bring snacks. Food items containing allergens listed above, will be sent home uneaten with a note on it for awareness.
What does my child need daily?
We require that children come with the following things everyday: - Work Clothes (children engage in all types of play, DO NOT send your child in clothes you want to stay clean) - Appropriate outdoor clothing
- FULL set of extra clothing (pants/shirts/socks/underwear) - Indoor Runners
does my child need to be potty trained by a certain age?
No, we feel children are ready when they are ready. No expectations are placed on children or parents.
what happens during nap time?
Nap time takes place between 12:30-2:30 for ages 2-4. Children who are awake after 1 hour are able to go back into the classroom. Children are welcome to bring a blanket or stuffy. Blankets will be washed weekly.
what happens if my child has allergies?
Parents are given Health Care Plan forms, these forms are then submitted to our URIS nurse. This nurse puts a plan in place for us and ensures that staff have adequate training.
CAN I BRING A CAKE FOR MY CHILD'S BIRTHDAY?
Cakes are welcome as long as parents can guarantee they come from a nut/egg free facility. If parents cannot ensure this, children will bake a cake in the classroom together.
